Brisbane Roar will embrace the club’s Ipswich-based supporters when its A-League Men’s outfit meets Adelaide United at the North Ipswich Reserve this Sunday, 31 October.
The pre-season match is scheduled to kick off at the family friendly time of 2:00pm.
It shapes as an important hit-out for Warren Moon’s men leading into their Round 1 date with Melbourne City on 19 November.
Roar CEO David Pourre said the club was looking forward to visiting another proud footballing region following the team’s Fraser Coast camp in August.
“It is a privilege to continue our pre-season journey into the regions and particularly to have a high-quality team such as Adelaide United come all the way to Queensland and play in what is a great heartland for Brisbane Roar,” Pourre said.
“We thank the Ipswich City Council, Mayor Teresa Harding and the Councillors for their support in bringing this game to a wonderful region.
“We look forward to putting on a spectacle for all of our Brisbane Roar members and fans as we prepare for the new season.”

Sunday’s match is a chance for Brisbane and Adelaide to examine each other ahead of their 4 December clash at Moreton Daily Stadium, the Roar’s first home game of the 2021/22 season.
Both teams have already won through to the Quarter Finals of the FFA Cup, with the Roar defeating Lions FC 4-0 yesterday.
Mayor Harding said: “This is very exciting news for sports-mad Ipswich.
“The Roar and the Reds are two of the biggest names in national football and we get an early look at their title credentials before the A-League season officially kicks off in a few weeks.
“A Sunday afternoon is the perfect opportunity for families and supporters of the game to come along and cheer on the Brisbane Roar or Adelaide United.”
Entry for the game is priced at just $5 (plus booking fee) for 13 years and over, with 12 and under getting in free.
