Brisbane Roar snatched all three points against former Liberty A-League Champions Sydney FC at Ballymore Stadium in front of a record-breaking crowd.
A total of 3679 Roar supporters packed out Ballymore Stadium as they saw our squad hold out the sky blues for a 1-0 victory.
In the 22nd minute, Chelsea Blissett carried out a magical one-two combo with Mia Corbin to then cut it back and curl the ball over Jada Mathyssen-Whyman’s into goal.
This marked Blissett’s first ever Liberty A-League goal, and what a way to score it!
Jordan Silkowitz was remarkable in goals, saving several vicious strikes from Sydney.
A special mention to our defensive line as skipper Jenna McCormick led from the back and stopped Sydney’s forwards in their tracks.
