Ahead of the Matildas Tournament of Nations kick off Friday morning (6:15 am) against Brazil, our Roar Women from across the globe are heading into an Australian training camp this week bolstered by some terrific results.

Hayley Raso of the Portland Thorns was instrumental in her sides 2-1 victory over Sky Blues FC in New Jersey Saturday night, scoring the first goal and applying the pressure that lead to the second.

Clare Polkinghornā€™s match for Houston Dash had to be rescheduled due to torrential rain that stopped any chance of gameplay in Maryland, but the game went ahead on Sunday night and Brisbane’s Westfield W-League Captain helped her team to a 1-0 victory away from home.

Katrina Gorryā€™s Utah Royals are the only team in the NWSL yet to succumb to the runaway favourites North Carolina, after grinding out a 0-0 draw against the league leaders over the weekend.

In Norway, our Roar women Mackenzie Arnold and Tameka Butt are both still on summer break from their domestic league duties and will join up with the Matildas camp later in the week.

Brisbane Roar Womenā€™s Head Coach Mel Andreatta will also be in camp for the Tournament of Nations, assisting National Team Coach Alen Stajcic in pre-tournament preparation.

You can catch our Roar Women and the Matildas in action on Fox Sports starting this Friday against Brazil (6:15 AEST).

The Matilda’s game against Brazil is followed by a Tournament of Nations blockbuster rematch against the USA on Monday the 30th (9am AEST) with the final game of the tournament to be played on Friday, August 3rd (7:45 am AEST) against Japan.

Back at home, our Roar Women are in action Wednesday night against Western Pride FC at Briggs Roar Sporting Complex (7:20 pm KO).

This weekā€™s game against the Pride marks the first of three mid-week games for the Roar Women as they continue to build on a tremendous off- season so far.
