Roar’s E-League Signings confirmed for 2023 campaign

Brisbane Roar in conjunction with XP E-Sports are pleased to announce Dylan Banks (AussieFifa HD) and Connor Stewart (Envy) as its two E-League signings for the 2023 season that will kick off its opening rounds this month.

The E-League returns with a bang in 2023 with a brand-new format spanning 10 weeks with a $10,000 AUD prize pool up for grabs.

The duo returns for Brisbane Roar for another year and have their eyes set on the Group Stage starting early March.

Banks has placed second for Brisbane in both the 2019 and 2020 E-League seasons and is out for the top spot this season in his fourth year with the Roar.

Banks left his day job to go full-time on YouTube as a FIFA content creator at the start of 2022 and has over 70,000 subscribers.

“I’m looking to pick up the form I had back in the 2019/2020 seasons and bounce back with a good run this year for the Roar. Once again, it’s a pleasure to represent the club so hopefully can take them all the way,” Banks said.

“I remember interviews back in 2020 being gutted because it was my second year and second year getting runner-up and no one remembers second place. I am definitely motivated to go all the way this year, and hopefully do well for the club,” he added.

This will be the third year that Connor Stewart has competed with the Roar and his focus is on progressing further than previous years and making the final.

Stewart has played Pro Clubs in the Australian team and has achieved top eight finishes in FIFA qualifiers for 2019, 2020, and 2021 and top eight playoff finishes at the end of the FIFA 2020, and 2021 seasons.

“I really enjoy playing alongside Dylan, he’s very dedicated and loves FIFA. He’s been playing a lot this year, so I know that he’ll get good results,” Stewart said.
