Brisbane Roar are pleased to confirm the appointment of Ruben Zadkovich as the club’s new Isuzu UTE A-League Men’s Assistant coach, joining Ben Cahn’s staff for the remainder of the 2023/24 season.
Zadkovich arrives at the club after serving as Perth Glory’s Head Coach last season, taking Glory to within one win of finals in his debut season and was in contention until the final round of the season.
The former Socceroo, who represented Australia at the 2008 Beijing Olympics brings a wealth of coaching experience to Ben Cahn’s staff.
At club level as a player, the midfielder plied his trade in both Australia and England, turning out for Sydney FC, Newcastle Jets, Perth Glory, Derby County and Notts County.
Zadkovich will work alongside current assistants Graham Harvey and Richard Greer on Ben Cahn’s staff and will be on the bench for Tuesday’s Isuzu UTE A-League Round 12 clash against Newcastle Jets.
“The opportunity to continue my coaching career at such a wonderful club with such great history, and to work alongside someone of Ben’s calibre was an opportunity I couldn’t turn down,” Zadkovich said.
Everyone at BRFC extends a warm welcome to our new Assistant Coach.
