Brisbane Roar Football Club has assembled a diverse panel to advise on the recruitment of its new Hyundai A-League Head Coach.
Along with the implementation of the panel, a clear process for appointing a Head Coach has been decided following a meeting in Jakarta between Club representatives that included the owners, board members, BRFC’s Chief Executive Officer and Football Director.
BRFC has also appointed leading international search and consulting firm SRi Executive and their Managing Partner ANZ; Jonathan Harris will manage the international aspect of our search and advise and facilitate the selection panel.
“As you would expect, Brisbane Roar has had a high level of interest in the Head Coach role,” BRFC Chief Executive Officer David Pourre said.
“Former Socceroo and Brisbane Roar Championship-winning defender Jade North, Club’s High Performance Manager Dr. Craig Duncan, BRFC’s Chairman Rahim Soekasah, Vice Chairman Chris Fong, Football Director Pedj Radinovic, Corporate Governance Specialist Rachel Sakurai will join myself and SRi Executive on an advisory selection panel.
“We are confident that we will appoint the right person to lead our Hyundai A-League team into the future.”
Brisbane Roar will make a final decision on the appointment of the new Hyundai A-League Head Coach soon after the interview process has concluded which will give the successful candidate time to prepare for the Hyundai A-League 2019/20 campaign.
The Club remain positive and firmly focused on the remainder of the Hyundai A-League 2018/19 Season.
Brisbane Roar Football Club can confirm that Darren Davies will continue as the Interim Head Coach for the foreseeable future.
The Club will make no further comment on the appointment process at this stage.
