Brisbane Roar is pleased to announce the promotion of John Sime to the position of head coach of the club-s youth league squad.
Formerly the club-s football development manager, Sime will replace Rado Vidosic who has relinquished the role due to greater responsibilities as a first team assistant coach.
A believer of ‘good, honest- football, Sime said he was happy to be taking the reins of the Roar-s next generation of players.
“It-s a big job,” Sime said.
“We have to try and develop the youth players … and try to get as many to take the opportunity to head towards playing in the Hyundai A-league.”
Sime said he shared a similar football philosophy to the outgoing Vidosic and would remain focused on developing a structured system of play.
Sime has already started to scout for potential recruits and vowed to unearth the region’s brightest football prospects.
