Brisbane Roar will be without Luke Ivanović for the next few weeks after the striker injured his quad in Saturday night’s match against his old side Sydney FC.

Ivanović was withdrawn after coming on as a second-half substitute at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium and is likely to miss several games.

Cyrus Dehmie will also spend a few weeks on the sideline with the injury he sustained in the FFA Cup Quarter Final.

Tom Aldred is closer to returning, although the Roar captain remains another week or two away after suffering a minor setback in his recovery from the knee problem he picked up in pre-season.

Attacking pair Henry Hore and Jez Lofthouse have returned to training after completing COVID-19 protocols and will now rebuild their fitness as they push for matchday minutes.

Defender Anton Mlinarić is also available once again, having been unable to face Sydney FC due to the terms of his loan agreement.

All other squad members are in contention to feature this Wednesday night against Perth Glory, who are set to hand Daniel Sturridge his first minutes since Round 1.

It will be the Roar’s first Isuzu UTE A-League home game for six weeks, and second of the season.

Kick-off at Moreton Daily Stadium is at 6:45pm. CLICK HERE for tickets.
