Young talents Georgina Worth and Kaitlyn Torpey have both re-committed for another Westfield W-League season at Brisbane Roar.
The duo were the first to don the team’s new 2020/21 kits, proudly featuring Fuel Your Life as the new front-of-shirt partner, and both are now locked in for another campaign in Brisbane.
The pair, who have both represented Capalaba FC this season in the NPL Women’s Queensland, both made their Westfield W-League debuts during the 2016/17 campaign and join foundation players Kim Carroll and Tameka Yallop as Head Coach Jake Goodship’s first additions for the upcoming season.
Former Young Matildas goalkeeper Worth is counting down the days until the new season gets underway.
“I’m really looking forward to another [Westfield] W-League season with Brisbane Roar,” Worth said.
I think we’ve put together a really strong squad and we just can’t wait to get back in to start preparing for the opening round.”
20-year-old Torpey, another former Young Matildas representative, is excited for the chance to add to her 32 Westfield W-League appearances at the Club.
“I started my career here in Brisbane and I’ve played all my football here so it’s great to be back for another season,” Torpey added.
“The first goal for us this year is to get back into the finals and we’re all really excited about the season ahead.”
