The Brisbane Roar Football Club as a representative for football in Queensland and Australia, is always committed to improving as an organisation and strives to retain key people who can help in taking the club forward.
Providing a pathway for ex-players transitioning to the next step in their career, is something the Brisbane Roar as a club strongly believes in.
Former Roar team members Karl Dodd (Head of High Performance), Scott Higgins (Football Manager) and Craig Moore (Football Director) are examples of people who have transitioned to the club’s off field team.
Over the last 12 months the Roar identified Shane Stefanutto as someone who would be well suited to a role within the club.
After officially retiring from the Hyundai A-league at the end of the 2015/2016 season, discussions were initiated with Shane about transitioning into the club’s administration.
We are pleased to announce that Shane will be taking a role within our media department.
Shane formed strong relationships with the wider media market during his playing career. These media relationships are underpinned by his demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with key club stakeholders including the Roar’s loyal supporters.
The Roar is very excited that Shane’s appointment will add significant benefit and depth to the clubs media department.
