Brisbane Roar trio Grace Kuilamu, Isabela Hoyos and Zara Kruger have been selected as part of the Australian U20 Women’s National Team for the upcoming Young Matildas Domestic Training Camp scheduled for Monday 23 June 2025 to Wednesday 2 July 2025 in Sydney.
This call-up follows a standout season for Kuilamu after returning to the pitch from an ACL injury she acquired last year, scoring five goals in 18 games and bagging three assists.
Hoyos made her Brisbane Roar debut during Round 1 in the capital and contributed to a solid defensive line across the 2024/25 campaign at just 16-years-old.
Kruger scored her first goal with the club in Round 15 away to Western Sydney Wanderers and made two assists in 20 appearances for the club.
“I am extremely proud of the continued involvement of our players in the national team setups,” Brisbane Roar Head Coach, Alex Smith said.
“Zara, Bella, and Grace are three of the best young players in the country, so having them at the club is fantastic.
“Contribution to the national team is something I take a lot of pride in, so to see these selections is very pleasing for our program.
Brisbane Roar train-on players Daisy Brown and Amali Kinsella, who were part of the Roar squad that travelled to Singapore for the Friendship Cup, have also been called up for the training camp.
“I am particularly happy for Daisy Brown, who spent all year with us as a train-on and is definitely one to watch.
“Equally pleased for Amali who joined us last year as an injury replacement. She did very well for us and is another young Queenslander who has a bright future.”
