The lethal striker, who has netted an eye-catching 175 goals throughout an esteemed career, will boost an already dangerous BRFC attack.
“Yuki has achieved so much in her football career already and I’m sure our supporters are as excited as we are to see her in Orange for season 11,” Head Coach Mel Andreatta said.
“On behalf of BRFC, I’d like to welcome Yuki to the Roar family.”
Nagasato brings to Brisbane not only a wealth of experience but an incredible football resume.
Roar’s new recruit was a two-time Frauen Bundesliga, and one-time UEFA Women’s Champions League, champion with FFC Turbine Potsdam as well as the Bundesliga’s top scorer in 2013.
Brisbane’s latest signing became a World Champion with Japan at the 2011 FIFA Women’s World Cup before also falling one step short four years later, as well as representing her country at the 2012 Summer Olympics – leaving with a silver medal.
“She (Nagasato) brings top-level experience at both Club and International level, which will be extremely beneficial in what is going to be an extremely competitive competition,” Andreatta added.
Yuki Nagasato joins an impressive list of players to have committed to BRFC this week, including Captain Clare Polkinghorne and Orlando Pride duo Carson Pickett & Chioma Ubogagu.
We begin our Westfield W-League campaign on October 28 at Suncorp Stadium against Perth Glory. Get your tickets HERE.
