Worldwide Freestyler a Roaring success

Worldwide Freestyler a Roaring success

Worldwide Printing Solutions’ recent Worldwide Freestyler competition proved a major success for the proud Brisbane Roar sponsor, attracting entries from across Australia and even overseas with the help of the three-time Hyundai A-League Champions.

Unveiled at the club’s 2014/15 Season Launch at Perry Park and promoted heavily at Worldwide Printing Solutions stores in Queensland and at Brisbane Roar home fixtures, the six-month Worldwide Freestyler campaign attracted almost 100 entries.

The premise was simple but effective – Worldwide asked footballers to show off their freestyle football skills by sharing a video via Facebook or Instagram using the hashtag #worldwidefreestyler.

From the many videos shared online, Worldwide Printing Solutions then picked four finalists – Curtis of Queensland, Dylan of Victoria, Jordan of New South Wales and Rome of New South Wales – to perform before kick-off at the Round 26 match between Brisbane Roar and Melbourne Victory.

The 11,582-strong crowd’s applause determined the winner and Rome was crowned the Worldwide Freestyler at Suncorp Stadium, winning a GoPro for his impressive freestyle football routine.

Worldwide Printing Solutions is a proud sponsor of the Brisbane Roar and is the club’s official print partner and sleeve sponsor of the club’s Westfield W-League team.  Brisbane Roar skipper and Westfield Matildas co-captain Clare Polkinghorne is an employee at Worldwide’s South Brisbane office.
