Brisbane Roar midfielder, Tameka Yallop has been named in the A-League All Stars Women Squad announced for a showdown against Arsenal in Melbourne later this month.
Yallop is the sole Brisbane Roar representative in Joe Montemurro’s 19-player squad for the A-League All Stars tantalising showdown with Arsenal Women FC as part of Global Football Week Melbourne.
The Roar midfielder is one of several current and legendary CommBank Matildas in the squad including Cortnee Vine, Michelle Heyman, Alex Chidiac, Lydia Williams, Elise Kellond-Knight and Kyah Simon, will see a star-studded side of the best local talent take the field on Friday, 24 May at Marvel Stadium, Melbourne.
Yallop earns selection after playing a key role for Roar in her return to the club this season that saw her notch five goals and five assists in a campaign where she hit 150 A-League Women appearances.
The A-League All Stars Women team is set to assemble in Melbourne on Saturday 18 May with an open training session for fans to be held on Thursday 23 May at AAMI Park with tickets available now for $10 via www.ticketek.com.au
Global Football Week Melbourne will be telecast in Australia live and free on 10 Bold and streamed exclusively on 10 Play and Paramount+.
