Young Roar’s fixtures for the 2025 season have been revealed with the draws for the new NPL Queensland and Kappa Pro Series campaigns published on Friday afternoon.
Karl Dodd’s side will kick off their 2025 NPL Queensland campaign against Peninsula Power on Saturday February, 22 at Meakin Park, which will be their home base for the season.
The 12-team NPL Queensland season runs from February to August, featuring 22 regular season rounds with the top four teams qualifying for the finals series. View the full draw HERE
In the Kappa Pro Series Roar will face defending NPL Queensland Premiers Gold Coast Knights, Dodd’s former side Brisbane City as well as FQPL 1 trio Broadbeach United, Magic United and Rochedale Rovers in the group stage.
Young Roar are headed to Bundaberg to face Brisbane City in the opening round of the Kappa Pro Series at Martens Oval on Saturday, February 1 2025.
The exciting match up is the first Kappa Pro Series fixture to be played outside of South East Queensland (SEQ). The competition, which brings together the best NPL and FQPL 1 teams from SEQ, is set to deliver a high-quality football match to the Wide Bay region offering local fans the chance to experience top-tier action in an exciting initiative by Football Queensland.

Last month Roar confirmed the appointment of Karl Dodd as the club’s NPL Head Coach ahead of the 2025 season.
Dodd, who is a former Roar player with extensive playing and coaching experience in the A-League, Europe and Asia will be assisted by Gabriel Hawash, who joins the coaching staff after leading Holland Park to the FQPL 2 Premiership and promotion which earned him 2024 FQPL 2 Men’s Coach of the Season honours.
Pre-season has commenced for Young Roar and the sides new coaching duo, who will work closely with the club’s A-League Men technical staff to develop the next generation of Queensland talent, with a clear pathway to the professional leagues.
