The National Premier Leagues Queensland enters Round 12 this weekend and the Young Roar are back in action in what is sure to be a mouthwatering clash against the Richland-based Queensland Lions FC.
Roar’s Senior Men’s side return home to the Logan Metro Sports Complex on Saturday night (7pm KO) and will face off against third-place Lions FC.
As the NPL QLD season nears its midway point, our Young Roar will be looking to cement their position towards the top of the ladder and continue building following a strong start to the campaign.
An opportunity to continue the side’s development will come against a strong Lions FC outfit as the Young Roar continue to navigate a challenging part of their season.
With two wins from their last three matches, including a 1-0 victory over Magpies Crusaders FC in their last home fixture in Logan, the Young Roar are confident of taking the challenge to Lions FC tomorrow night.
“It’s an understanding that we have to match them physically because you have to earn the right to play, and that’s what happens in senior football,” Coach James Robinson said.
“We have to be competitive and impose ourselves on the contest and let the ball do the talking. If our opposition has that little more experience, then we need to shift the ball and be a bit more clever with our movement.”
The Young Roar are one of six Academy sides playing at Logan Metro Sports Complex this weekend. Take a look below at this weekend’s BRFC Academy fixtures.
