The Brisbane Roar Youth team will take on the Solomon Islands men’s national team in an exhibition match at the Gold Coast Sports & Leisure Centre this Thursday, 3 March.
KO is scheduled for 7:30pm and the entry fee for adults is $5 to support travel expenses for the Solomon Islands squad.
Roar members can attend for free by displaying their membership card.
With their Round 1 fixture postponed due to the flood event impacting South East Queensland, Chris Grossmann’s Young Roar will be looking to develop form and fitness against a side preparing for FIFA World Cup qualifiers later this month.
Members of the Roar’s Isuzu UTE A-League squad are also set to get additional minutes into the legs ahead of their clash with the Central Coast Mariners in Gosford on Saturday.
Brisbane Roar extends its thanks to the Solomon Islands Football Federation, the City of Gold Coast and Football Queensland for their support in staging the match.
Fans are encouraged to bring umbrellas, raincoats and suitable footwear in case of adverse weather.
