Your Preview: Roar hungry to continue winning run ahead of Wanderers clash at home

Brisbane Roar are back at home this Sunday afternoon for a showdown against Western Sydney Wanderers in Round 3 of Ninja A-League action.

The Roar Women are in exciting goal-scoring form with two wins from two, therefore a return to Spencer Park will see a determined side hungry to continue their winning streak.

WHAT WAS SAID

Roar Captain and Matilda, Tameka Yallop is confident that the best is to come for Brisbane Roar after a great start to the season sits them top of the table.

“I think we’ve had a good start to the season, obviously two wins. I think we haven’t played our best football yet so that’s kind of the exciting part about it,” Tameka Yallop said.

“Also, exciting that we’ve got a new home ground that we’ve had a good result at already even with the storm disruptions. I think we’ve started well but we’re still building into the season.”

Matildas goalkeeper, Chloe Lincoln is loving life at Brisbane Roar, and has her eyes set on a clean sheet this Sunday on home soil.

“I’m loving it. It’s so good, I’m so happy to be a part of this group,” Lincoln said.

“We’ve got our momentum rolling now, hopefully we can continue with that.

“There was a lot of takeaways from the Perth game, we were super happy to get the three points but a lot of learnings we can take away there defensively.

“We’ve been working hard this week, hopefully that shows on the weekend.”
