After an impressive 1-1 draw against reigning Premiers, Auckland FC, Michael Valkanis’ men have the chance to climb higher up the Isuzu UTE A-League Men ladder and extend their unbeaten run to four matches in front of an expected strong crowd on Friday night.

WHAT WAS SAID

Speaking ahead of the clash, defender Lucas Herrington, who will play his last match at Suncorp Stadium this Friday spoke on the teams willingness to fight hard against a tough opponent.

TEAM NEWS

Head coach Michael Valkanis has made an addition to the squad with Chris Long returning from injury to join the squad. Marcus Ferkranus (quad), Hosine Bility (hamstring) and Nathan Amanatidis (quad) all still recovering from injury.

Benjamin Halloran and Antonee Burke-Gilroy have also returned from injury but have not been selected in the matchday squad.

LAST TIME WE MET

The last meeting between the two sides came on March 1, of the 2024/25 season which saw both sides share the points in a 1-1 draw.

It was the Roar who opened the scoring on that day thanks to an expert finish from Henry Hore in the 20th minute before the Victory struck in the 7th minute of additional time take a point back home to Melbourne.
