Biography
Philippines international defender Angela Beard, who has signed with the club until the end of the Ninja A-League 2025/26 season.
A composed and versatile defender, Beard brings a wealth of experience at both domestic and international level, having enjoyed a career across the A-League Women, overseas competitions and on the international stage.
Internationally, Beard has represented both Australia and the Philippines, earning caps for the CommBank Matildas earlier in her career before going on to become a key figure for the Philippines women’s national team that made history by qualifying for, and competing at, the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Known for her strong one-on-one defending, positional awareness and leadership, Beard is a very talented and aggressive player who brings a wealth of experience and winning mentality.
