Joel King

CommBank Socceroos left-back Joel King joined the club on a two-year deal from Sydney FC ahead of the 2026/27 Isuzu UTE A-League season.

King made his national team debut in January 2022, in a 4-0 victory over Vietnam during a FIFA World Cup qualifier at AAMI Park in Melbourne. Around the same time, King secured his first move to Europe, joining Odense BK in the Danish Superliga, before returning home and going on to be part of the Socceroos’ squad at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

King has made over 125 A-League appearances and scored four goals across eight seasons with the Sky Blues, winning two Championships, a Premiership and the 2020/21 A-League Men Young Footballer of the Year award along the way.
