Biography

American defender and Roar fan favourite, Josie Studer returns to Brisbane for a second campaign after playing a key role in her 23 appearances as the club reached the Preliminary Final in her maiden Ninja A-League campaign. The fullback with a real hunger to defend impressed with her athletisism.

Studer joined the Roar from USL Super League club Carolina Ascent ahead of the 2025/26 season, following five standout years at Louisiana Tech University. Since arriving in Brisbane, the fullback has become a mainstay of the Roar backline, prized for her defensive solidity and ability to get forward in support of attack.
