20 AttackerWidely regarded as one of the A-League’s best ever attacking players, Roar supporters will be most familiar Marco Rojas’ time locally at Melbourne Victory and Wellington Phoenix – making 140 appearances and scoring 41 goals during his time in the A-League.
Rojas, dubbed the Kiwi Messi by fans for his ability on the ball goalscoring prowess was awarded the Johnny Warren Medal as the league’s standout player in the 2012/13 season.
The forward also arrives with extensive experience in Europe having plied his trade for Colo Colo in Chile, VFB Stuttgart and Greuther Furth in Germany, FC Thun in Switzerland, Heerenveen in the Netherlands and SønderjyskE in Denmark.
At international level, Rojas has represented New Zealand on 43 occasions, scoring five times for the All Whites.
