Marcus Ferkranus

Centre back, Marcus Ferkranus arrives in Brisbane on a two-year contract from LA Galaxy and has represented the United States at youth level.
A product of the LA Galaxy Academy, Ferkranus recorded one assist in 55 appearances across six seasons played with LA Galaxy II in USL Championship and MLS NEXT Pro play.
During the 2024 campaign, the Santa Clarita native recorded one assist in eight appearances across all competitions for the LA Galaxy’s MLS NEXT Pro affiliate Ventura County FC.
At international level, Ferkranus helped the U.S. U-20 National Team qualify for the 2023 U-20 FIFA World Cup in Indonesia and the 2024 Olympics in Paris after making five appearances (4 starts) during the 2022 Concacaf U-20 Championship.
Additionally, Ferkranus started and played 90 minutes for the U.S U-20 Men’s National Team in a 3-0 win over Fiji at the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup held in Argentina.
The defender was born in California but won’t count towards the Roar’s visa quota through his Australian mother, who was born and raised in Sydney.
Ferkranus lived in Noosa between the ages of six and ten and several members of his family currently live in Brisbane.
