Ruben Parker comes on board as the club’s new Goalkeeper Coach ahead of the 25/26 season, arriving in Brisbane after spending the last three seasons at Wellington Phoenix.

Parker’s time at Phoenix was highlighted by a second placed finish in the 2023/24 A-League campaign, where his side conceded a league low 26 goals from 27 regular season matches.

During this time Parker oversaw the development of Alex Paulsen, who was crowned the competition’s Goalkeeper of the Year, earning him a move to English Premier League side Bournemouth.

The 30-year-old is one of New Zealand’s most recognised goalkeeping coaches, having also worked as the NZ Men’s U-17 Goalkeeper Coach as well as the Future Ferns Domestic Programme Goalkeeper Coach.

As a player, Parker represented New Zealand at U-20 level and competed in the NZ top flight with the likes of Hawke’s Bay United, Western Springs, Auckland City, Canterbury United and WaiBop United.
