Rylan Brownlie followed in the footsteps of his dad, Royce – who had played for the club in the competition’s inaugural season to become the club’s first father-son duo, making 11 appearances in his maiden A-League campaign.

The tenacious attacker became the Roar’s youngest ever A-League Men’s goalscorer when he netted against Melbourne City aged just 16 at AAMI Park in December.

The 17-year-old, who is a product of the club’s NPL Program has scored ten goals in competitive action for Young Roar in 2024.
