Football Coaching Opportunities – Casual/Vacation

The Brisbane Roar Active Program aims to provide children with the opportunity to develop their football skills and love of the game in a fun and engaging environment.

We are now looking for keen, dynamic, and enthusiastic individuals to join our team to organise and run sessions within schools and football clubs in Brisbane, Gold Coast, and Sunshine Coast.

The role:

  • Successful candidates will run our school programs from grades prep to grade 8, boys and girls.
  • Programs will also be run at football clubs in similar age groups.
  • The sessions on offer will be primarily located in Brisbane, with opportunities also on the Gold Coast & Sunshine Coast.
  • Transport, assist, and set up our inflatable field for certain events.
  • Sessions can take place at various times of the day including before, during, and after school. There will also be opportunities on the weekends and during school holidays in the form of holiday clinics.
  • Plan & deliver sessions, working closely and assisted by the Brisbane Roar Community Manager.
  • Assist and engage with Brisbane Roar A-League Men & Women’s players as part of our player appearances at schools and clubs.
  • Facilitate the skill development of young children with various abilities and ages.
  • Opportunity for growth in the role for the right candidate, including potential permanent part time positions.

We are looking for:

Essential:

  • Current valid Blue Card or confirmed receipt of successful application.
  • Enthusiastic & approachable.
  • Excellent communicator & reliable.
  • Ability to use initiative & work independently.
  • Passion for football and growing our community.
  • Professional approach to work – punctual for all coaching sessions and meetings.
  • Must have work rights in Australia.
  • Valid Driver’s Licence and your own transport.

Desirable:

  • Experience working with young children.
  • Coaching background, ideally in younger ages football programs.
  • Football coaching qualification.
  • First Aid certificate, or willing to obtain.
  • Experience updating WordPress website
  • Experience updating and posting on social media.
