Brisbane Roar’s preparation for the fast-approaching A-League Men’s season will continue with a friendly against a BRFC Invitational XI at Underwood Park this Saturday afternoon.
Kick-off is scheduled for 3:00pm and the game will be open to the public.
The entry fee is a simple gold coin donation to support host club Rochedale Rovers.
To be coached by Jordan Manning, the Invitational side will be comprised of local NPL and FQPL players and Queenslanders based interstate.
Manning will be supported by Griffin Mansfield-Taylor, Gabriel Hawash and Ben Ryan.
The match lands less than a fortnight out from the Roar’s Round 1 visit to Melbourne City and follows on from last weekend’s comfortable 2-0 win over Adelaide United in Ipswich.
Warren Moon’s men have also won FFA Cup ties against Peninsula Power and Lions FC in maintaining a perfect record in the lead-up to the new campaign.
The meeting with the NPL All Stars at Perry Park on Saturday, 13 November is the only men’s match that remains in the pre-season calendar after this weekend’s clash. Tickets for that game are on sale now.
