Brisbane Roar ended their season with a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Canberra United on Saturday afternoon at Perry Park.
After a first half of back-and-forth chances for both sides, it was Jenna McCormick who opened the scoring in the 43rd minute with a header into goal off Deborah-Anne De La Harpe’s corner.
Just as the game was coming to a close, Michelle Heyman scored the equaliser in the 85th minute with only moments later being followed up by a Vesna Milivojevic goal to secure a late win over the hosts.
