Brisbane Roar Head to India for Bhausaheb Bandodkar Memorial Trophy

Brisbane Roar will head to India on Wednesday to compete in the second edition of the Bhausaheb Bandodkar Memorial Trophy.

The tournament which is held in memory of Goa’s first chief minister the late, Bhausaheb Bandodkar will take place between August 24 and September 6 consisting of teams from the Indian Super League, I-League, Argentine Primera Division club, Defensa y Justicia as well as Roar.

Brisbane Roar have been placed in Group A and will face FC Goa, Dempo SC and a Goa ProLeag ue qualifier.

The top two sides in each group will progress to the Semi Finals with the final set to be played on September 3rd.

All matches of the Bhausaheb Bandodkar Memorial Trophy will be played at the Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Fatorda.

“The players and staff have been working extremely hard to build the foundations for the season and this tournament provides important competitive match minutes for the group to continue evolving ahead of the upcoming A-League season.

“Our focus has been to build a high performing environment with a group that is close knit working together to help each other achieve our goals for the season.”

All matches at the Bhausaheb Bandodkar Memorial Trophy will be broadcast live and free on FIFA+
