Brisbane Roar welcome CommBank Young Matildas forward Tanaye Morris  

Brisbane Roar are delighted to welcome CommBank Young Matildas forward Tanaye Morris to the club on her first professional contract ahead of the 2024/25 A-League Women’s season.  

Adelaide born, Morris arrives in Brisbane from Adelaide University Soccer Club (AUSC) in Football South Australia’s Women’s National Premier League (WNPL) where she has played 60 matches and scored 38 goals. She was awarded the Golden Boot Award in her first season with AUSC after scoring 16 goals in the 2021 WNPL season.  

The 20-year-old was involved in South Australia’s National Training Centre (NTC) program for five seasons which led to her attendance at three National Youth Championships. 

Morris scored on her junior national team debut with the CommBank Young Matildas in a 1-1 draw with New Zealand in the AFC U20 Women’s Asian Cup 2024 in July.  

The young forward was again selected in the 21-player squad alongside Roar teammates Zara Kruger and Alicia Woods ahead of the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup Colombia 2024 and is currently preparing for the first round of the tournament in September.
