ALM R4 Matchday Guide: Brisbane Roar FC vs Newcastle Jets FC 

Brisbane Roar are set to face the Newcastle Jets at Sunshine Coast Stadium this Sunday to play their first ever competitive A-League match at the venue.  

Here’s everything you need to know before heading to the historic first A-League clash on the Sunshine Coast between your Brisbane Roar and the Newcastle Jets.  

Two gates will be opened on the day, Gate 1 and Gate 3 from 2:30pm.

MERCHANDISE  

Our fresh new kit will be available to purchase at the merchandise van that will be setup inside the venue.  

ACTIVATIONS  

Mascots Roary & Rosie will also be in attendance, so be sure to arrive early to get a photo with them!   

Roar and Football Queensland will be running the inflatable field pre-match on Field 3 from 2:30pm, north of the stadium.  

Fans are encouraged to stay around after the match for photo opportunities and a signing session with their favourite players.  

Sunshine Coast Stadium will be operating as normal to provide food and drinks for purchase throughout the day.   

Getting there  

Translink Bus Routes 600 and 602 run North and South along Nicklin Way on a regular basis.   

Patrons can disembark at the following stops:  

Northbound: Nicklin Way at Kawana Sports Precinct or Nicklin Way at Main Drive  

Southbound: Nicklin Way at Main Drive or Nicklin Way at Kawana Sports Precinct  

A limited number of unmetered PWD carparks are available on Sportsmans Parade. Paid PWD parking is available in the Nicklin Way Car Park.  

Fans can take the opportunity to park around Lake Kawana and walk along the scenic path to the venue. Parking is available at various locations around the Lake.  

Wheelchair access   

If you require accessibility seating for Sunday’s game, a limited number of accessible seating spaces are available within the grandstand. Alternatively, a designated open-air section for accessible and enhanced amenity seating will be available adjacent to the grandstand.  

Entry to the venue is through Gate One located on Sportsmans Parade and can be accessed via a concrete path from the Nicklin Way Carpark. An elevator is available to access grandstand seating, please see our friendly staff on entry.
