Brisbane Roar can today announce the signing of forward Sabit Ngor from the Central Coast Mariners on a two-year deal ahead of the 26/27 Isuzu UTE A-League season.
Ngor joined the Mariners ahead of the 24/25 season before completing a loan spell at NPL Victoria club Heidelberg United, where he scored nine goals and made 37 appearances in all competitions to help crown them NPL Victoria Champions.
After returning to the A-League for the 25/26 campaign, Ngor cemented himself in the frontline with six goals from 25 appearances. The 25-year-old also arrives with international experience, having successfully trialed at Veikkausliiga club Tampereen Ilves in 2023. He made 29 appearances for the Finnish outfit, scoring five goals and providing four assists before returning home to Australia.
Speaking on Ngor’s arrival, Sporting Director, James Gow said “Sabit is a player we’ve tracked closely, and we’re thrilled to bring to Brisbane,” Gow said.
“He’s an attacking player, who we see playing mostly wide, however, Sabit’s versatility is important giving us options across the front line. Sabit has shown real pace and power and a proven eye for goals across multiple seasons. At 25 years of age he’s entering a strong period of his career. Just as importantly, his attitude and hunger to win align with exactly the kind of culture we’re resetting. We’re confident he’ll add genuine quality to our frontline, and we’re looking forward to seeing him in a Roar shirt.”
Speaking on his new deal, Sabit noted, “I’m really excited to be signing for Brisbane Roar. It’s a fantastic club with a proud history, and from the conversations I’ve had, it was clear that the ambitions of the club align with my own. I’m looking forward to getting started, meeting the fans, and giving everything I can to help the team achieve success.”
Ngor will wear the No.19 jersey for the 26/27 campaign.
Welcome to Brisbane, Sabit.
