Brisbane Roar is delighted to announce Argentine striker Juan Lescano as the Club’s second attacking signing in as many days.
Lescano joins the Roar after scoring 11 goals in all competitions in his most recent season with FC Yenisey Krasnoyarsk.
The 28-year-old moved to Europe as a teenager and had spells in his youth with global giants Liverpool FC and Real Madrid before settling in Russia.
“I was looking to change something and decided with my family to take this opportunity to come to Brisbane,” Lescano said.
“We are happy and excited because it is a nice country with nice people.
“But I didn’t come here for a vacation. I came to work. I watched eight or nine games when I heard about this opportunity.
“I will do my best to help the team be successful.”

Standing at over 6ft tall, Lescano brings an extra dimension to Head Coach Warren Moon’s fleet-footed attack.
“Juan has a good eye for goal, he can score in a variety of ways and I have no doubt he will link up well with our other attacking players,” Moon said.
“The fact he wanted to come here from Russia at a good age shows he is committed to what we are building.
“We are very happy to have him on board, especially at this early stage of pre-season.”
Lescano becomes Brisbane’s fourth new signing after Matti Steinmann, Nikola MileusniÄ and Luke Ivanovic.
