Brisbane Roar secured a massive three points against second-placed Melbourne City in front of home support at Perry Park on Saturday evening.
After a scoreless first-half, Tameka Yallop opened the scoring in the 59th minute after a through ball from Alicia Woods set her up nicely to drive into the box and put it away.
Just two minutes later, Alicia Woods made her second assist of the night which saw Sharn Freier strike the ball around BĂ¡rbara to the bottom left of goal to make it 2-0.
This victory will fill the Roar with confidence ahead of their last four games of the 2023/24 Liberty A-League season.
Roar will now look toward next week for their home game at Ballymore Stadium where they will host Central Coast Mariners in hopes of back-to-back wins.
