ALW R9 Match Wrap: Brisbane Roar 2-0 Melbourne Victory

Brisbane Roar bounced back in front of home fans with a spectacular 2-0 win over Melbourne Victory at Perry Park on Wednesday night.

A brilliant brace from Grace Kuilamu secured the three points for Roar as they shot back to winning ways in front of home support.

After returning from an ankle injury, Kuilamu opened the scoring in the 23rd minute, finding the back of the net with a header off a cross bar effort from Emily Pringle.

Roar were on the front foot from the start, with multiple attacking chances on goal and another effort from Emily Pringle that found the woodwork in the 35th minute.

In the 38th minute, Kuilamu was back in action after pouncing on a deflection off the keeper from a shot by Sharn Freier, to secure her second of the night.

Roar were able to secure the three points with a strong performance in front of fans before heading south to face Melbourne City away on Saturday for a battle of the top two.
