Brisbane Roar can today confirm that the club and defender James McGarry have mutually agreed to part ways, with his contract terminated by mutual consent.
The 28-year-old joined ahead of the 2025/26 season and made 24 appearances in orange, contributing four assists, 84 clearances, 11 blocks and 36 interceptions across a committed campaign at the heart of the defence.
Throughout his time at the club, James was a dedicated professional who gave his all for the orange both on the training pitch and on matchday. The club is grateful for his efforts and the role he played during his time in Brisbane.
Everyone at Brisbane Roar thanks James for his contribution and wishes him and his family the very best for the next chapter of his career.
