Brisbane Roar kicked off their ONE GOAL program with a bang last night, hosting football administrators from across the Queensland capital in an official launch at Suncorp Stadium.

The ONE GOAL program, a free, rewards-based incentive system similar to a ‘frequent flyer- style initiative, allows football clubs and organisations to collect points through ticket and membership purchases.

These points can then be redeemed for a variety of different Brisbane Roar products and services, which include team-signed balls and jerseys, coaching clinics and player and Roary appearances.

Each participating club is asked to identify their ONE GOAL, whether it-s raising money for new team equipment, to enhance the coaching structure at their club or anything in between, which the redeemable items are aimed to help with.

Brendon Boss, the Roar-s ONE GOAL senior account manager, was extremely pleased with the outcome of the launch and hailed the overwhelmingly positive feedback from all involved.

“It was an awesome chance to bring the entire football family together,” he said.

“It doesn’t matter what association, club, group or program you are with, we are all just football fans at heart and passionate about the game at all levels.”

Just under 200 people, from 92 different football clubs and organisations, were treated to a behind-the-scenes tour of the Brisbane stadium, including sneak peeks into the press conference room and home team changing room before walking out through centre tunnel.

Attendees hailed from a range of football organisations including clubs from Football Brisbane, Queensland Christian Soccer Association, the Commercial League, Futsal as well as schools.

A key component of the program is the ONE GOAL Clubhouse, located on Level 4 in Suncorp Stadium-s Eastern Grandstand.

The Clubhouse is a designated area for the local football community to watch Brisbane Roar home fixtures, complete with private bar and food facilities and separate to the general public.

“It-s designed to be your home away from home,” Boss said.

“It is not essential at all that clubs purchase space in there, but it will earn them extra points by doing so.”
