Brisbane Roar is delighted to welcome Bulgarian international striker Evdokia Popadinova to the club ahead of the 2024/25 Liberty A-League Women season.

The 27-year-old joins the club from Italian club Lazio where she has scored four goals in 14 appearances.

The striker brings a wealth of experience after playing around Europe for clubs including Sportika Blagoevgrad, London Bees, Aalborg BK in the Danish Superliga, and Napoli and Sassualo in Serie A Women.

“I’m extremely excited to play in Australia,” Popadinova said.

“This has been a huge dream of mine for quite some time, and I am beyond grateful for this opportunity. I have followed the league in the past years, and I cannot wait to step out onto the field and represent Brisbane Roar.”

“This shirt will be my second skin for the next season, and I’m so ready and excited about what’s to come. The goal remains the same as always, and that’s to win as many games as possible.”

Popadinova joins Danelle Tan as the club’s second new arrival ahead of the 2024/25 Liberty A-League season.

She will link up with her new teammates for the first time when preseason commences in September.
