Palmer: Roar feeling positive

Brisbane Roar midfielder Hollie Palmer shared that the Liberty A-League squad is optimistic after some strong results have set them up well for their match against Melbourne Victory at home this Saturday.

“We’re feeling good, everyone’s feeling pretty positive. Obviously it was a big result for us, we’ve been working super hard and I think it’s what we deserve,” Palmer said.

The 22-year-old has her eyes set on finals football since the start of the season and Roar are looking to capitalise on this week’s home advantage to keep their positive run of results going.

“That’s been the goal since the start. We want to try to win every single game, we want to play finals football so that’s definitely still the goal still.”

“We’ve been working really hard, obviously we know we can’t take any week for granted, we get a win but we’ve got to keep going hard each week. Every game is just as hard as the game before, so just focusing on the game ahead.”

Palmer looks forward to returning to Perry Park after several away fixtures to play in front of an electric atmosphere full of home support.

“Obviously it’s fun playing in front of family and friends and hearing everyone cheer. The Roar Corps too play a massive part in that.”
