R18 ALW Match Preview: Brisbane Roar vs Melbourne City

Brisbane Roar return to Perry Park this Wednesday night for a clash against league leaders Melbourne City as they look to cement themselves in the top six on home soil.

Roar currently sit on 25 points and nearing them are Canberra United, Wellington Phoenix and Perth Glory, therefore they will look for a crucial three points on Wednesday.

WHAT WAS SAID

After signing a three-year scholarship extension with the club, Isabela Hoyos is determined to defeat league leaders this Wednesday and contribute to a push for finals.

“It’s been tough for us, we’ve been in a rough patch but all the girls are together and we’re still pushing for finals,” Hoyos said.

“Melbourne City is a tough opponent but I think we can match against them, we’ve been training well and I think that we can do well and get the three points.”
