Roar veteran Jack Hingert extends on one-year deal

Brisbane Roar is pleased to announce the re-signing of Roar veteran and versatile defender Jack Hingert on a one-year contract extension until the end of the 2024/25 Isuzu UTE A-League season.

Born in London, Jack played for the likes of Crystal Palace (Youth Academy), Knox City, Peterborough United and North Queensland Fury before being brought into Ange Postecoglou’s Roar side as a 20-year-old in 2011.

Jack Hingert is Roar’s second all-time appearance maker behind Matt McKay, reaching over 250 A-League appearances for the club, and boasting three Isuzu UTE A-League Championships in the 2010/2011, 2011/2012 & 2012/2013 seasons.

Hingert made his international debut for the Sri Lankan National Team in the Four Nations Tournament in March.

The 33-year-old made 22 appearances, 30 clearances, 8 blocks, 14 interceptions and scored one goal in the 2023/24 Isuzu UTE A-League campaign.

Hingert, who enters his 14th year at the club, is determined to bring back the success he once experienced.

“Honoured to continue my time at the club. Brisbane Roar is a huge part of mine and my family’s life. Just as excited as I was when I got my first contract at the club,” Hingert said.

“Hoping I can help the club get back to the success we know we have the potential to achieve. Looking forward to building and continuing to give my all for the club and the fans.”
