Brisbane Roar FC strongly supports the campaign calling on Queenslanders to Stand Up against domestic violence.
The club is horrified by the recent spate of tragic incidents that, in several cases, have cost victims their lives.
Brisbane Roar FC is united in wanting to help stamp out this scourge on our society and assist those affected and impacted by domestic violence.
The Roar has worked closely in the past with the Queensland Government’s Department of Communities, Child Safety and Disabilities Services to raise awareness of the many issues relating to domestic violence.
Roar defender and former Socceroo Shane Stefanutto is an ambassador for the DV Connect service, which last year fielded more than 70,000 calls. He has twice recorded videos for their “Trust Your Instincts” campaign.
