Technically gifted French midfielder Florin Berenguer, who has an eye for a killer pass brings a wealth of experience to Brisbane Roar, after spending five seasons at Melbourne City.

The 35-year-old picked up three goals and five assists from 19 league appearances in his first season in Brisbane. The midfielder scored the club’s fastest ever A-League goal when he found the back of the net after just 32 seconds against Wellington at Sky Stadium in Round Three.

In Melbourne, Berenguer earned more than a century of appearances, making him an Isuzu UTE A-League staple. His elite technical ability caught the eyes and hearts of Melbourne City fans, as he swept Player of the Year, Player’s Player, and Members Player of the Year awards after an outstanding 2021/22 season.

Prior to his move to the Isuzu UTE A-League, Berenguer played for French Ligue 2 club FC Sochaux-Montbéliard and former Ligue 1 side, Dijon, where he notched 92 and 112 appearances respectively.
