Ross Aloisi

Head coach Ross Aloisi returns to Brisbane Roar after previously upholding the role of Assistant Coach of the club from 2015 – 2019, working alongside his brother and former Socceroo, John Aloisi as Head Coach.

Ross then moved to Adelaide United, a club he was a part of in his playing career and continued as an Assistant Coach there until April 2022.

He took his role to new heights when he moved to Japan last year as Yokohama F Marinos FC’s Assistant Coach alongside Head Coach Kevin Muscat in the Japanese professional football league, where he won the J1 title with them last year.

Aloisi had a long playing career which started in Australia’s top-flight level at the time, the National Soccer League (NSL), before going overseas where he enjoyed stints in Europe before returning home to captain Adelaide United and Wellington Phoenix until he retired after the 2007/2008 season.

Alongside his brother John, Ross led Brisbane Roar to back-to-back top four finishes in both the 2015/2016 and 2016/2017 seasons where the Roar lost the semi-final in both instances.

With extensive experience ranging from a national and international level, Ross is determined to turn things around to get the Roar back to where they belong, in finals football.
