Brisbane Roar can today announce the signing of 19-year-old defender Jacob Nasso from Central Coast Mariners ahead of the 2026/27 Isuzu UTE A-League campaign.
Nasso starred for Bentleigh Greens in the NPL Victoria before joining Western United’s U21 squad as captain in 2023, where he was named Players’ Player.
The right-back featured in eight matches for Central Coast Mariners across the 2025/26 season.
The signing reinforces Brisbane Roar’s commitment to identifying promising young talent, with the club confident the defender will thrive in Brisbane, offering competition for positions.
“I am extremely grateful and blessed for the opportunity,” Nasso said. “From my conversations with the club, there’s a clear vision for what we want to achieve. “I’m excited to play in front of the fans, hungry for success and ready to build something special.”
Sporting Director James Gow said Nasso fitted the profile at right back the club wanted to identify. “Jacob is a defender with real maturity and leadership for his age, and his development to date speaks to his character and work ethic,” Gow said.
“At 19, Jacob has already shown he has a strong defensive IQ and many other qualities required to succeed at this level. He is hungry, hard working, versatile and ready to push for opportunities. We’re confident he’ll grow significantly in our environment, and we’re excited to see what he can do in orange.”
