• New Head Coach for Brisbane Roar Women’s team to be announced imminently
Brisbane Roar has confirmed the departure of their Liberty A-League Women’s Head Coach, Garrath McPherson, effective immediately.
McPherson was announced as Women’s Head Coach for the Roar back in August 2021, after spending time as Assistant Coach with the club, including their Premiership-winning 2017/18 campaign.
Kaz Patafta acknowledged McPherson’s contribution to the club, “I’d like to personally thank Garrath for his leadership and dedication to both the Roar Women’s team and the entire club.”
“Garrath’s contribution to the club has been outstanding. However, we believe it is time for the Liberty A-Leagues Women’s program to be rejuvenated. We have set high expectations for our Women’s team and want to see certain improvements across the board,” explained Patafta.
“An announcement regarding the future of the Brisbane Roar Women’s Head Coach will be made imminently,” Patafta confirmed.
