Brisbane Roar-s ONE GOAL program is continuing to gain momentum in the local football community with clubs beginning to see tangible results from the initiative.

Almost 80 clubs, mostly from Brisbane but some hailing from as far as Goulburn, NSW, have signed up for the free program with Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast and Toowoomba also well represented on the ONE GOAL member club list.

Less than two weeks out from the beginning of the Hyundai A-League season, the ONE GOAL program has seen in excess of $23,000 collectively allocated back to the clubs via their points.

To earn points clubs have their members nominate them when buying Brisbane Roar memberships, corporate hospitality and match day tickets (match day through Ticketek only).

This means the ONE GOAL member clubs with points to their name can now start claiming the Brisbane Roar products and services with Brisbane City and Grange Thistle the first to redeem.

“To already have so many clubs with points on the scoreboard before the start of the season is testament to the local clubs commitment to our new initiative,” Brisbane Roar-s ONE GOAL Senior Account Manager Brendon Boss said.

“Actually purchasing products completes the circle and I hope it will encourage other clubs to join.”

Other redeemable goods include Brisbane Roar signed memorabilia, appearances from club mascots Roary and Rosie and Hyundai A-League and Westfield W-League players, football equipment and even a training session with the club-s coaching staff or the ability to host a Brisbane Roar pre-season fixture.

The latter option is one ONE GOAL club Albany Creek Excelsior are putting in the hard yards to achieve, hopefully in time for the Roar-s pre-season campaign in 2013.

“We have to thank all the clubs involved for believing in the program,” Boss said.

“However, Albany Creek in particular have led the way engaging their members and passing on the relevant information to achieve their ONE GOAL”.

The majority of the ONE GOAL points have been allocated via the purchase of Brisbane Roar memberships and boxes in the ONE GOAL Clubhouse area at Suncorp Stadium.

The Clubhouse area has already sold out for Brisbane Roar-s first two home fixtures of the Hyundai A-League 2012/13 season, against two-time champions Melbourne Victory and competition new boys Western Sydney Wanderers.

Boss said the interest in the Clubhouse is still booming as the excitement of the upcoming season builds.
