Brisbane Roar interim Head Coach, Luciano Trani says his side are looking to build on a positive start to the season ahead of Thursday’s Isuzu UTE A-League Round 10 clash against Melbourne City at AAMI Park.

Roar look to return to winning ways and maintain their spot inside the top-six when they take on the defending Premiers on Thursday evening.
Trani will be in charge for the first time on Thursday after it was confirmed over the that Ross Aloisi had departed the club to take up an overseas opportunity over the weekend.
Roar, who start the weekend in fifth head into Thursday’s game looking to snap a two-match winless run after suffering defeats to Central Coast and Western United in recent weeks.
City sit seventh, two points behind Roar and also come into Thursday’s match without a win in two, having played out draws with Melbourne Victory and Central Coast in their latest outings.
Speaking to media ahead of Thursday’s match, Trani said his side were fully focused on putting in a big performance against the defending Premiers.
“So far the season has been very positive, the foundations have been set and we’re in a very good position to continue the work that’s been laid by Ross (Aloisi) and the players have performed so brilliantly so far,” Trani said.
“Yes, we have a couple of losses recently, but the makeup and the foundation has been there and we want to continue to build to the rest of the season.
“As far as we are concerned it’s all about continuing what we have been doing and now just adding a little bit more to our game and our processes and hopefully that will give us that extra edge that we’re wanting to get better every day and improve those results.”
Thursday’s match at AAMI Park kicks off at 6:45pm and will follow an ALW clash between the two sides which kicks off at 4pm. Both matches will be broadcast live on Paramount+.
