Biography
Irish Stalwart Jay O’Shea, is one of the A-League’s Premier midfielders, notching 130 appearances for Brisbane and having twice been selected in the A-League All Stars.
Jay’s quality, experience and commitment over the years have made him a mainstay for the orange. He earned the Gary Wilkins Medal & Player’s Player award for the 2020/21 and 2021/22 seasons. Jay also received the Player’s Player award in the 2019/20 and 2023/24 seasons.
O’Shea has established a reputation as one of the competition’s best midfielders and has finished as Roar’s top goal scorer in each of the last two A-League seasons.
Previously, Jay played for Sheffield United in the Championship, MK Dons in League One and Bury in League Two, however, spent most of his playing career at Chesterfield in League One. He has also represented Ireland at u19, u21 & u23 levels.
